FINALLY, I created a new FreeNAS 11.3-U3.2 usb install media, installed fresh onto my mirrored boot usb drives, again opting for traditional BIOS rather than UEFI. Boot went fine, I re-importing my FreeNAS config and all was back to normal. EXCEPT, now my mobo and FreeNAS 11.3-U3.2 install were set to use the traditional BIOS at boot.
